I am battling cancer. I was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for a liver resection. When I woke, I found my fiance beside me, 17 hours from home. I asked him why he had come, he said "The day we get married I want to be able to look you in the eye and have you know that when I say 'in sickness and in health,' I mean it."

I work in aged care, and every day at morning tea time, 2 residents sit together and share a slice of cake. They met 2 years ago when they came to live in the Nursing home, and today they shared their first kiss. A room full of 70+ year old people clapped. True love, no matter how old we are, is still magical.

In 7th grade I was anorexic.

When I was hungry, I would snap hair-ties on my wrist, as punishment for even thinking about food. My then boyfriend found out about it and took one of my hair-ties, saying,

"For every one snap you do, I do ten."

I lost a very special necklace given to me by my 17 yo. boyfriend. I felt sick over it as it was so sentimental. Months later, my boyfriend found it in the cushion of our sofa. Only years later did I discover that he had saved up money to have an identical replica made so he could 'find it' for me and I would no longer feel so bad.

I invited my crush to my house and was rejected.

I called my best friend and told him what happened. Twenty minutes later, he called back and said "go outside". It was midnight and raining. I looked outside to see him soaking wet, shivering, and holding flowers.

We are still together. His love GMH.

This morning, as I was about to leave for work, my boyfriend danced into the kitchen singing a made up song consisting of only my name, over and over.

When he saw me, he turned red and said "Oh, you're still here".

Sneaking a peak in the daily routine of someone who really loves me GMH.

Earlier in the summer I was at church and the pastors were doing announcements. During the announcements, they mentioned a couple who was celebrating their wedding anniversary. It was their 75th. The husband is 102. Every one cheered for them to kiss. They made out.

My boyfriend always tells me how much he wants to take care of me no matter what happens medically (I'm 19 with arthritis and osteoporosis) and ALWAYS calls me after my chemo treatments. He is currently deployed. My first week at college he sent me roses... from Afghanistan.

When I entered middle school I saw this super cute seventh grade boy. I liked him ever since that day even though we NEVER talked. Then one day in my sophomore year he came up to me during lunch. He said, "You know, I've always thought you were beautiful." That blew me away. We have been married for 11 years.

I was in class one day when my boyfriend, who had been deployed for two years, came walking into the classroom. I had no idea he was back in the States. I've never cried harder in my life then I did when I saw him walk in. As I was hugging him, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. We're getting married in the fall.

I was sick and couldn't sleep and was afraid that I was keeping my husband awake. I told him that I would sleep in the living room since he had to go to work in the morning.

He picked up my blankets and pillows and joined me in the living room because he didn't want me to sleep alone. His LGMH.

I got my first boyfriend at age 16, and soon after I was diagnosed w/ multiple sclerosis. Soon after, I developed a bad limp and have trouble walking. But, he's stayed with me for 5 years. He still takes care of me and tells me I'm beautiful everyday. Now, we're engaged.
